Red-bellied Woodpecker
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Print of a watercolor commissioned for an article in Bird Watcher’s Digest, reproduced on heavy-weight 100% cotton rag paper using pigmented inks. Matted with Bainbridge black-core, conservation 4-ply mat board, backed with acid-free foam core, and sealed with graphics-grade shrink film. Limited to an edition of fifty, signed and numbered (s/n) by the artist.
“One of the most common woodpeckers in eastern North America, conspicuous for its red cap and ladder back. It’s red belly is more rust-colored and used as a moniker to distinguish it from the solidly crimson headed Red-headed Woodpecker.” J.T.
Matted size is 11 × 14 inches.
